Fire Within: Wigan Cultural Strategy
Through 2018 we worked with artists. communities, arts organisations and Wigan council develop a new cultural strategy for Wigan Borough. Drawing on local heritage, the strategy brought together the Borough’s incredible cultural offer under five key curatorial themes, to act as a framework for development of audiences, impact, arts practice and infrastructure.
Our work was compounded into a groundbreaking Manifesto, paving a new vision for Wigan as a place where people want to live, work and invest. The Fire Within Cultural Manifesto builds on the collective and collaborative preparation our cultural strategy instigated, connecting and enabling the Borough in a joint effort and igniting their collective energy.
